Self Portrait 1

Silkscreen for class. A project for an international exhibition with self portraits my college is proposing.

Thuis is one of the color schemes. I used arabesques to create my face and used magenta and red to create a gradient. Only one matrix was necessary since the gradient was produced by merely mixing the colors on the screen during the printing process.
I'm very fond of this work, the black paper creates great contrast and the colors perfectly. There's also a version on another black paper that ended up faded because the paper absorbed too much of the paint, but the result is also interesting.
